The Bearsville Theater sits on 16 beautiful acres in historic Woodstock, New York, the Catskill mountain town where the music revolution of the 1960’s began.
A multi-million-dollar renovation of the property was completed in 2022. Today it is a magical place renowned for its leadership in the world of music. Bearsville has become a perfect wedding destination for couples who love and appreciate the creative arts.
Our property offers six different locations with many opportunities to create a stunning and unforgettable celebration of love. In the three decades from 1960 to 1989, music impresario Albert Grossman built a utopian paradise at Bearsville to nurture his artists. As the manager of Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, The Band, Todd Rundgren and many others, Albert achieved his vision, setting fire to the old ways in whic music was created, recorded, performed, and appreciated in America and around the world.

“Bearsville is a new venue that offers a very special destination for weddings in the Hudson Valley. My team and I began a $5m renovation in 2019, just before the pandemic. We took an authentic, fascinating piece of musical history, and converted it into a picture-perfect setting for celebrations. With high-class cuisine, and a professional staff dedicated to taking care of you and your guests, this remarkable and beautiful space can be a canvas for designing and producing a treasured, unique event.
Nestled on 16 magical acres of woodland, Bearsville was created 50 years ago as a home for the world-famous stars of the music scene, with facilities to write, record, rehearse and perform in a bucolic setting just far enough, but not too far, from the hustle and bustle of New York City. Today we offer you our Mid-Century-Modern theater, extensive lounge and VIP rooms, and sun-dappled gardens—as well as an outdoor stage, bluestone seating ‘pods’ and a woodland walk that celebrates the lives of the musicians who shape our world. Together, we will work with you to create a truly magical and unforgettable experience.”
